Cafe Femenino & Rose City Coffee Co.

Since we began in 2012, we have sourced beans certified through Cafe Femenino, and we are now proud to partner with the Cafe Femenino Coffee Program to offer several single origin coffees that support women-owned and managed coffee farms.

The coffee farms are small holder farms; to be a Cafe Femenino coffee producer, the women must have control of their own production and make the decisions. These farms belong to a fair trade cooperative which means that they are 3 hectares or less.

Many of our rotating single-origin beans come from these farms, as well as some of the beans which make up our blends. Our single-origin Peruvian and Rwandan beans are always from these farms, and a percentage of the proceeds from these beans support the Cafe Femenino Foundation, which provides grants for programs and projects that enhance the lives of women and their families in coffee-producing communities around the world.

An additional percentage of proceeds supports the Portland Women's Crisis Line, a local non-profit dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence by providing support services to survivors.
